It was an honour to attend the football tournament held in memory of Lewis Waters, who tragically died after contacting Meningitis B last month. It was a wonderful event and a true show of community support to Lewis’ parents Sean and Kate, his family, friends, and teammates at such a difficult time.
The event has already raised over £5400 for Meningitis Now. I would like to thank the team from the charity who came along to speak to the local community and to answer questions about Meningitis B. You can find out more about the charity’s important work here: https://www.meningitisnow.org/
I would also like to thank Caversham AFC for organising and hosting this fitting tribute to Lewis, and the many local business who contributed or attended.
