During scrutiny of the CPTPP Trade Bill I raised consumers’ concerns about the animal welfare and environmental standard implications of joining the agreement.

I also asked the Government for reassurances that the new CPTPP trade agreement will not lead to foreign providers undermining standards of care or replacing domestic NHS providers.
