For as long as I have been an MP, the Government has been promising to pass ambitious Animal Welfare laws.

We are a nation of renowned animal lovers and yet when the opportunity arises, the Government dithers and delays.

This week, they finally brought a bill to the House of Commons which still doesn’t go far enough.
