I wrote to the Veterans’ Minister, to ask for an update on negotiations between the UK Government and the Government of Nepal following a meeting of the two Governments to discuss Gurkha pensions last week. You can read my letter to the Minister below.

I want to see a fair deal to Gurkhas who retired or served before 1997 who receive lower pensions than other former British soldiers. I raised this issue in Defence Questions last Monday, in the run up to the meeting between the two Governments last Wednesday.
