This morning I travelled on the GWR Memorial Train to lay a wreath of remembrance in London Paddington Station. The GWR Memorial train brings people from towns and cities across the Great Western Railway to pay tribute to our fallen soldiers at Paddington station.

The ‘Poppies to Paddington’ service is organised by GWR and the Veteran’s Charity – it began during the Covid-19 pandemic as a way of allowing people across the great western line to send tributes to London, despite the social distancing restrictions. I am very grateful to them for their help.
