Sell Before We Dai Campaign Meet with the Shadow Sports Minister

This week I joined the Sell Before We Dai campaign to raise the problems with Reading Football Club ownership and football regulation with the Shadow Sports Minister, Stephanie Peacock. The Shadow Minister believes Reading FC’s situation shows that a new independent football regulator is needed urgently.
Labour are taking the problem of football ownership regulation seriously – I’ve secured an adjournment debate on the situation at Reading FC, and the wider issues around football regulation, taking place next Wednesday.
I will use the debate to call on the Sports Minister to help Reading FC, and to urge the Government to introduce a new football regulator, using Reading FC as the regulator’s first case.
