It was an honour to attend the Pakistan Independence Day Mela. Thank you to the Reading Pakistani Community Centre for being such generous hosts and putting on such an excellent event.

Reading’s Pakistani community have made a great contribution to the economic and cultural life of the town, and yesterday’s celebration was an opportunity to recognise this contribution. I’m looking forward to next year’s event already.
