It was a privilege to attend the Windrush 75th anniversary service on Saturday.

In 1948, the HMT Empire Windrush brought the first large group of passengers from the Caribbean to help rebuild post-war Britain.

The Windrush generation have made a huge contribution to the UK and to Reading. It was an honour to hear their stories and formally recognise their contributions to our town.
