Sunday’s memorial at Forbury Gardens was a deeply moving tribute to Joe Ritchie-Bennett, James Furlong, and David Wails. The Forbury Gardens attack was a dreadful and deeply shocking incident and it is important to mark the anniversary of this terrible event.

I would like to offer my sympathies to the families and friends of Joe, James, and David. Like many other local people, my thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.

I want to thank everybody who came to pay their respects.
