More than 1,900 people have now completed the survey, which indicates the level of concern locally. This is a major proposed development which could have a significant impact on traffic in Caversham and Emmer Green and in the town centre.It also has implications for the future development of the town, in particular, whether more development takes place on green land on the edge of the town.

I am calling for brownfield land to be used for new housing, because Reading’s local plan points out that Reading has enough brownfield to provide almost all the houses needed in the borough until 2036 and because brownfield redevelopment protects green spaces, reduces traffic and helps regenerate derelict sites.
