I was on BBC Berkshire this morning speaking about the difficulties our keyworkers face with coronavirus testing centres, and the shortage of PPE in our care homes and hospitals. The care sector has been overlooked and underfunded for years, and this crisis has highlighted the strain which our care homes face. We must not let this happen again. Care homes should have always been a priority for government funding and recognition. They may not be part of the NHS, but they are a significant part of Britain’s health infrastructure.
