Matt Rodda Member of Parliament for Reading East

Our five Reading nursery schools help to give children the best start in life but they are under terrible pressure from Government cuts.
There are fears that they will struggle to continue in their present form and that resources will be cut to worryingly low levels.
Extra funding has been offered by the Government but only for one year.
I am calling for proper funding to be secured for the longer term.
I met the head teachers of New Bridge, Blagdon and Blagrave nurseries at a lobby meeting in Parliament on Monday, to help press the Children’s Minister for more funding.
