Matt Rodda MP attended a Christmas Carol Concert with Reading Phoenix Choir at Reading Minster on Saturday, in aid of the Minster’s Sanctuary fund to help the town’s homeless.

The Minster’s Sanctuary fund provides vital respite for those with nowhere else to go on Friday and Saturday nights between 9pm and the early hours of the morning, when they are most at risk of abuse from drunk and rowdy people on a night out. They also provide shelter and sustenance for those in need.

Matt said: “I’d like to thank Reading Phoenix Choir and all those who took part in the Carol Concert this weekend. It was a heart-warming event that brought people from across our community together to raise money for an important cause, and I was happy to lend my support.”
