Matt Rodda MP visited schools and local groups to mark Parliament Week, an annual event which aims to engage people, especially young people, from different backgrounds and communities, with the UK Parliament.

During the week Matt visited Reading Girls School, Highdown School, and 9th Reading Guides to meet school children and young adults to answer their questions on Parliament and how it works, and to empower them to get involved.

Matt said: “It’s important that our voters and citizens of tomorrow understand how vital their participation is in our democracy, and I’m pleased to see so many schools, Girlguides and other local groups taking part. We can only work towards a more equal society if we all engage with democracy; everyone’s voices matter.”
