MATT RODDA MP TABLES EARLY DAY MOTION ON CHILTERN EDGE SCHOOL
READING EAST MP MATT RODDA has tabled an Early Day Motion in Parliament concerning the future of Chiltern Edge School.  The Motion is aimed at triggering debate in the House of Commons, and it is hoped that Matt can attract the support of fellow MPs to help bring this issue into the wider domain.
The Motion, tabled on 26 June 2017, states:
“That this House believes that Chiltern Edge School should remain open; is concerned that Oxfordshire County Council is consulting on its closure; notes that this is a much loved school and that there is a growing need for school places in the area; and supports the wishes of parents, teachers and students to keep the school open.”

Matt has been an ardent supporter of Chiltern Edge School and said recently:

“The pupils are wonderful and deserve the chance to be able to continue to grow and improve there. I look forward to continuing to work with the School as the consultation period goes forward.”

The consultation process is currently ongoing and is due to end on 30 June 2017.
