MATT RODDA VISITS THE HEIGHTS SCHOOL

Newly elected local MP, Matt Rodda, has visited the Heights Primary School, following its outstanding Ofsted inspection report.

The Caversham school received the report on 28 June 2017 following the inspection which took place during the previous month. The report gave the school an outstanding rating, and praised the Headteacher in being inspirational and tireless in her commitment to the school. Leaders, governors and staff were commended in demonstrating a deep commitment to the care and well-being of the pupils, with school inspectors saying that they “go the extra mile”. The curriculum was particularly noted as being exceptional, and the early years provision within the school quoted as being ‘exemplary’.

Matt said:

It was a pleasure to visit the Heights and to hear about the work of pupils and staff.

I am campaigning against cuts to local schools and it was interesting to visit and I am looking forward to talking to more local heads and teachers and parents”.
