SOUTH READING CHURCHES FUN DAY IS FUN FOR ALL

MATT RODDA MP gave his support to the South Reading Churches Fun Day which took place on Saturday 8 July 2017.

Over the past 13 years, the churches of South Reading have joined together to create an annual fun day for Whitley and the southern area of the town. The event, which serves to bring the community together, welcomed thousands to Rabson’s Recreation Ground just off Northumberland Avenue.

Local resident Maureen McSevney won an award for her work with the Whitley Community Development Association.

Matt was delighted to be there amongst the crowds on Saturday and said:

“Saturday was a wonderful family day out, with a great atmosphere and something for people of all ages. Events such as the South Reading Churches Fun Day have proven to be a key part of the Whitley calendar over the years. The churches and community groups did a great job for local people, the fun day was a great way to get communities together and create closer links.”
