Yesterday saw the start of the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire during which 72 people lost their lives.

On Thursday, during a statement on building regulations and fire safety, Matt Rodda questioned the Housing Secretary, James Brokenshire, on when new building standards would be put in place to protect against future tragedies.

Matt said, “Eleven months on from the Grenfell Tower fire we urgently need to clarify new building standards for the industry to give the public confidence that the buildings they live in are safe.”
