READING EAST MP Matt Rodda took to the streets of South Reading and Caversham today to help local Councillors in their continued canvassing and campaigning work.

Of particular concern to constituents was the school cuts situation, housing shortages and the general high cost of living in Reading.

Feedback also included the welcoming of much-needed road resurfacing works on Northumberland Avenue, the consultation on the proposed bus route changes and discussions surrounding Matt aiming to secure the best deal for the constituency in the ongoing Brexit negotiations.

Matt said:

“It is important to show people that campaigning isn’t just for General Elections. By continuing to make contact with constituents on the doorstep it enables them to voice their concerns to me directly, and is a great way of making that personal contact.”
