Matt Rodda, MP for Reading East, was delighted to learn that a local charity in Woodley which helps children and young people has been able to benefit from a financial award from The Earley Charity.

The Me2 Club enables children and young people with additional needs and disabilities aged 5-19 in the Wokingham Borough to attend mainstream activities through a network of volunteers and helpers.

Fundraising Development Officer from Me2, Liz McDaniel, said:
“When he visited, Matt said that we should apply to The Earley Charity and mention his visit -; we did this and have just heard that they are awarding us £4,390. This is fantastic news; thanks again for everything.”

Matt said:
“I’m really pleased that Me2 have been able to secure this much needed financial award from The Earley Charity. Me2 provides an invaluable service which helps our younger ones participate in and enjoy hobbies and pastimes that perhaps they wouldn’t be able to due to various limitations faced by children and young people with additional needs or disabilities. This charitable award will help the fantastic work of the Me2 Club to continue.”
